James Carrieres (see Curriculum Vitae), Seized Computer and Evidence Recovery Specialist and owner of East Valley Computer Forensics, has been a federal agent since 1985 and has worked numerous criminal cases that have included embezzlements, theft, bankruptcy fraud, drug diversion, wire and mail fraud, conflict of interest, procurement fraud, loan origination fraud, equity skimming, and benefits fraud. During his federal career, Mr. Carrieres has testified on numerous occasions before state and federal grand juries, and at various trials and hearings. James Carrieres has been the affiant for 17 state and federal search warrants involving complex fraudulent schemes. Mr. Carrieres began his computer training attending the Seized Computer and Evidence Recovery Specialist course at the Federal Law Enforcement Training Center, Glynco, GA. He has continued training and attended courses provided by Guidence Software (EnCase) and Access Data (Forensic Tool Kit). Mr. Carrieres is an EnCase Certified Examiner.
During his career as a federal agent, James Carrieres has imaged and analyzed over 200 computers which provided evidence for prosecutors to convict numerous subjects. On the preceeding page (see Articles) there are several examples of cases in which Mr. Carrieres was the lead investigator and resulted in convictions.
In 2005, Mr. Carrieres formed East Valley Computer Forensics recognizing that companies and attorneys were requesting quality computer forensics. East Valley Computer Forensics has provided professional and confidential services to attorneys, corporations, and individuals (domestic cases).
